Heterosexual equal rights a large problem to UK Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender group

Domestic partnership only exists for gay couples within the U.K., but that might change if Stephanie Munro and Andrew O’Neill have anything to say about it. According to Jezebel, the straight couple has drawn the support of the British LGBT firm OutRage!, which is currently campaigning the British govt for heterosexual equality in domestic partnerships. According to spokesmen for the OutRage! campaign Equal Love, expanding the laws regarding such civil unions would be a boon to Britain’s homosexual community, also.

First experiencing OutRage! After heterosexual equality issues

Heterosexual equal rights getting attention is what Munro and O'Neill plan to really take place even though they know their petition for domestic partnership could be denied so the lawsuit filed will include three opposite-sex couples and four same-sex couples. There is no agenda for Equal Love. A homophobic agenda is surely not the case. OutRage! Coordinator Peter Tatchell explained the contrary:

"We support (straight couples’ bids) for heterosexual equality. In a democratic society, everyone should be equal before the law. There should be no legal discrimination. The twin bans on gay civil marriages and on heterosexual civil partnerships are forms of sexual apartheid. There is one law for straight couples and another law for gay partners. Two wrongs don’t make a right," Tatchell told the Wall Street Journal.

Objective to not marry

Matrimony is just a mix of religion and secular law for a ritual according to Munro and O'Neill. A domestic partnership, on the other hand, is absent such "historical baggage," said O’Neill.

The U.K. may have segregation on domestic partnerships like Munro and O'Neill are facing which may be interesting to note, says Tatchell. However, they aren't facing what gay couples are at all. The United States will offer domestic partnerships without consideration of gender in some places. The U.K. can do it too. The heterosexual equal rights is all the Equal Love is asking for from British Parliament. This is why sexual orientation needs to simply be eliminated, based on Equal Love.
