Cancun, Mexico is the site of an international climate meeting that started Monday. Most analysts don’t expect the Cancun climate summit to result in a severe international understanding on how to deal with climate change. The fact that the United Nations has failed to bring developing and developed nations together on climate change leads many to assume that the Cancun summit is absolutely nothing however "climate change theater." Avoiding climate change for a while
The Cancun climate summit could determine what the world will do about climate change in the future. There will likely be some procrastination if last December's Copenhagen climate summit is repeated. The last-minute non-deal came with the Copenhagen Accord. The carbon emission reduction was entirely ignored. Since nothing has been prepared for climate change, the Copenhagen Accord does not really matter. There weren't any needs for mandatory emissions reductions added; it just said that developed and developing countries have to share plans for climate change.
More concerned about who did it rather than the way to repair it
Some kind of treaty at the Cancun climate summit are very unlikely. A legally binding climate change treaty won't come from it. The deals at Copenhagen made by China makes the United States fault China. China, in turn, blames the United States. Developing countries say the carbon emissions crisis was caused by centuries of industrialization by developed nations, and it’s their issue to solve. All the developed nations want a compromise. This way not too much is expected. The ability of the United Nations to play a role in it is something the developed and undeveloped nations know will not happen.
Playing politics within the U.S. while China does something
The Copenhagen Accord failed. This didn't stop clean energy from getting into China. Solar panels and wind turbines are manufactured in China a lot more than anything else. Also, clean coal technology and efficient nuclear reactors have come from the country. The carbon industry to curb emissions in the America stopped with the U.S. Senate. Also, nothing is going to occur with the U.S. at the Cancun summit thinking about the Republicans have taken over the house starting in 2011.
