John Edwards, according to the National Enquirer, is engaged to his girlfriend and mistress. Sources that are “close to” both Hunter and Edwards are being cited as saying this both is and isn’t really true. Earlier, the National Enquirer was the first to report that John Edwards had a mistress – and a daughter – with her. Let’s just hope that personal loans are not being used to keep people from talking to the press.
Possibility of a fake for John Edwards engagement?
Supposedly, Edwards proposed to Rielle Hunter less than a month after his wife’s death, reports the National Enquirer. The couple will supposedly be living in a beach home. About $350 million was bought for the occasion. The report cites “sources close to the couple.” Apparently MSNBC knows "sources close to the couple" as well. They say there is no engagement. whether or not John Edwards is really engaged is something only the couple knows right now.

Tabloids are always taking celebrities and making the worse of them. There is an interesting story between Edwards and the National Enquirer though. When John Edwards was having an affair, the National Enquirer reported it first. While it was initially denied, Edwards did eventually admit the affair. Edwards also denied then admit that he had a daughter with Hunter after the National Enquirer first reported this.

The estranged wife of John Edwards was Elizabeth Edwards. Less than a month ago she dies from cancer. Her will was unsealed very recently. She left John Edwards entirely out of her will, instead bequeathing her estate and possessions to their three children. It had been months since John and Elizabeth separated. There aren't always tabloid reports that are correct though. It was denied over and over that the couple was buying a house together.
